Applying the Mitzvah technique to my everyday life has relieved me of persistent tailbone pain that I had had for about 15 years. Mitzvah is the ONLY thing over 15 years of trying to relieve this pain that has actually and practically worked. No more popping pills, no more hot water bottles, just simple adjustments to how I move and use my body. I learned Mitzvah from Susan through her online courses. Susan is a fantastic teacher who provides excellent descriptions and examples of how to properly incorporate the Mitzvah technique. Although I have not been able to experience her classes in person, my experience of learning from her online has been great and I cannot recommend her and the Mitzvah technique enough!

The Mitzvah Technique with Susan Green has improved my disabilities of Crohn’s disease, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis and Bipolar Disorder so that I have less flare-ups and feel 100% better in my muscular and skeletal system. With utilizing the Mitzvah Technique and its principles, I can move freer and feel calm within my body, mind and soul.

After suffering with lower back pain for over 10 months a friend suggested I try the Mitzvah technique. In my first session with Susan Green I felt the benefits almost immediately. After 3 sessions I stopped taking pain medication and was sleeping better. The Mitzvah technique is a gentle and effective method that has improved my quality of life.

I arrive with a neck that can barely move from left to right. With Susan’s gentle treatments that help align the posture, I feel totally relaxed, almost akin to walking on air. Pain has subsided; my neck is free. Although I have scoliosis, with treatments from Susan over the years and her teachings of the Mitzvah Mechanism, it is not noticeable and I stand tall. Thank you Susan!

Working with Susan and learning the Mitzvah Technique is definitely
one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. Her gentle
hands on approach makes learning easy and enjoyable and it
empowered me to take control of my back health and get on the
road to recovery with exercises I could do to help heal myself and
realign my posture gently and pain free. A true master in the healing field,
I highly recommend Susan to anyone wanting to improve their mobility,
back health and quality of life.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia three years before I met Susan Green.
I was on a downward path as far as my mobility was concerned, and the
treatments that were available to me caused too much pain to be of any
use long-term. From my first session with Susan, when she introduced
me to the Mitzvah Technique, my pain levels decreased and my flexibility
and mobility increased. With Susan’s support I am now able to exercise
and strength train at a fitness club.
I always look forward to my sessions with Susan. I arrive feeling like the
Tin Man when Dorothy first encounters him. My joints “rusted” so badly
it is difficult and painful to move. The gentle treatment the Mitzvah Technique
offers loosens my joints and muscles. When I leave I feel like I have been
given the world’s most effective painkiller and I feel like I can conquer the world!
The beauty of the Mitzvah Technique is that it can be applied to
movement in everyday life. Susan teaches exercises and forms
that can be done between visits to keep the Mitzvah mechanism
moving. It means that each visit I am a little less stuck, and every
time I finish with Susan I am more limber than I was previously.
I am thankful everyday for Susan and the Mitzvah Technique.

I had unrelenting pain in my neck, shoulder and arm for several years.
I was told by my doctor to set up a date for surgery and prepare for a
lengthy recovery. It would have meant time off of work, resulting in
“Physical Solutions for Posture, Tension/Stress & Strain’s” Mitzvah
Technique Chair Exercise. She altered how I sat at my desk/computer/phone
to take pressure off of my neck and shoulders and arm. Susan taught me
new ways to release tension and relieve strain from sitting at the
desk/computer/phone.
Amazingly my shoulder pain completely went away within two weeks of adopting
the Mitzvah Technique Chair Exercise to my work activities. Much to
my relief, I now am pain free and do not require shoulder surgery.

Before studying the Mitzvah Technique with Susan Green, I attempted
to deal with the symptoms of fibromyalgia on my own and with the
assistance of various healthcare modalities. Nothing helped to
address the fibromyalgia until I tried the Mitzvah Technique and
I felt immediate relief to my shoulder, neck and upper back.
Susan corrected the constant pain in my tailbone that had
been nagging me for years. No one including doctors had
been able to diagnose or solve the problem even though
many diagnostic tests were performed. I am now able to
enjoy many activities that were in the past excruciating.

I suffered chronic low back pain for many years. I was pleasantly
surprised that the gentle Mitzvah Technique and its exercise
effected alterations in my body mechanics which alleviated
his discomfort. Susan Green is an able Mitzvah Technique
Instructor and I highly recommend her sessions.

My special needs daughter had a severe posture problem with
head down and shoulders slumped forward. 2 years of patient
teaching in the Mitzvah Technique has brought about a dramatic
improvement. My daughter is now standing straight and tall with
head held high and eyes looking ahead. Her new stance makes
her feel good and has given her a new feeling of self confidence.
She also had occasional neck pain which has not recurred for several months now.

I am very well acquainted with the Mitzvah Exercise
as developed by M. Cohen-Nehemia, which Susan Green is teaching.
It is based on sound principles, is absolutely harmless,
and is very effective at improving posture, reducing tension
and improving body performance for a variety of activities including
athletics and artistic pursuits of all kinds.
Susan Green has taught the Mitzvah Exercise to my staff at Mount Sinai Hospital.
She is a well informed, caring person and
I am sure will provide you with a worthwhile program.

I was introduced to the Mitzvah Technique many years ago when
I suffered sciatica nerve pain. Other treatments I had tried had no effect.
The Mitzvah technique changed my posture (due to scoliosis)
from one of slouching with round shoulders and much pain
to one of a noticeably straight and erect person with no pain.
The technique gave me the tools to continue the work on my own
through the years with a tune up now and again
– which always improved any discomfort or poor posture habits.
Recently, I had double hip surgery and was suffering severe nerve pain
due to over exercising during physio a few weeks after the surgery.
I walked into Susan Green’s studio with a cane and much discomfort
and within a few sessions I was pain free and standing erect once again.
She designed a moderate program for me based on my circumstances.
The sessions were so very relaxing – I looked forward to them and
always left with noticeably positive results. The Mitzvah Technique
under the gentle, capable hands of Susan Green guided my body to heal
and I’m walking tall with no cane – and no pain!
Thanks so very much Susan.

Learning the Mitzvah Technique is the best thing that I have ever done
for my well being. It has provided me with a means to enhance my posture
and strengthen my skeletal/muscular system. Applying the Mitzvah
to my nursing and massage occupations enables me to work longer
without experiencing back strain and fatigue.

Susan helped me with my jaw problem, neck poking and back stiffness.
The Mitzvah Technique has also benefited my acting because
I am able to move more easily and freely. My voice sounds clearer
and can feel less pressure on my vocal cords.

Stumbled on to the Mitzvah Technique following an auto accident whiplash injury.
Had Mitzvah sessions for about 11 months and was totally healed. Totally.
As an administrator in the Economics Department, and then later in the Arts Dean’s office,
I found that it remained helpful for handling the stress from sitting at the desk/computer.
A lot is taught not only about things to do on your own,
but also about the way the body is meant to be used during a given action.
Interestingly enough, it’s also helped my acting, film extra work and other activities.

Susan Green introduced me to the Mitzvah Technique twenty years ago
after I was recovering from major surgery and I have benefited ever since.
Recently, unable to continue creative writing due to crippling pains
in my left shoulder, other specialists advised me to refrain from typing – ever!
After two visits with Mitzvah I was able to resume at the computer
and am now writing again, pain free! Thank you again, Susan

I recognize I needed help for my posture and back pain.
I look better and can stand up straighter.
I feel improvement and ease in my standing up and walking.
I am glad to have something to practice when I am home by myself.
Susan’s training provides considerate, pleasant and clear instruction.

I am deeply grateful to Susan Green for teaching me the Mitzvah Technique.
It is indispensable to me in my career as a pianist:
it releases tensions and restores equilibrium in the body on an ongoing basis,
– effects which are of vital importance in the physical performance of music.
The practice of Mitzvah Technique has become an integral part of my life.
I feel that it plays a significant role in maintaining health and well being.

In praise of Mitzvah Technique. Twenty years ago I had regular tension headaches
which I remedied by visiting a chiropractor. Little did I know that by meeting Susan Green
I would find a preventative method for escaping this cycle.
She taught me how to re-align my spine and my whole body with Mitzvah exercises
and avoid and ameliorate other postural imbalances.
I haven’t been to a chiropractor in twenty years.
Instead I visit Susan Green for a postural “tune up”.
I love it when I can recommend Susan to someone with a postural problem.

Susan has worked with Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto’s staff on several occasions
to share practical, everyday solutions to postural stress,
especially tension associated with sitting at a desk/computer for long periods.
The Mitzvah Technique is easy to learn and immediately effective in bringing relief.
Susan is able to explain the concepts and movements in an accessible way for
people who generally ignore their bodies at work. We have all benefited from her workshops.

Following surgery in March of 2006, I was in extreme pain
from the incisions on my right breast
and underarm arm. It was very difficult to move or sleep without pain.
Also, the stress and tension was always building up causing throbbing spasms,
and stabbing pain in the back and chest muscles.
I was so grateful when I was able to receive the Mitzvah Technique table work
from Susan Green. Susan’s gentle and carefully trained hands give you
such confidence as she leads you through her table work techniques.
Her knowledge is evident when you experience her soothing directions
and very capable hands as she guides you through the gentle stretching
and opening of the shoulder. These actions allowed for chest expansion,
release of stress, and lessened rib cage pressure.
Susan taught me simplified movements of the Mitzvah Technique
that I was able to perform independently on a daily basis.
The Mitzvah Technique was the only exercise that I was able
to tolerate for many months. I continued to have a great deal of discomfort
in the form of muscle spasms during chemo and radiation treatments.
Again, the Mitzvah Technique helped me to cope with these ongoing issues
by having a technique that I could easily perform at home.
Today, more than a year and a half after surgery, as a survivor, I
am continuing to benefit from the expert Mitzvah table work of Susan Green.
Her work is augmented by Mitzvah Technique exercises that I do at home.
I am grateful that I have the availability of this wonderful lifelong technique.
Now I am able to actively participate in all of the activities
that I love . . . walking, biking, swimming, skiing, dancing, tai chi, yoga,
gardening and, most definitely, the Mitzvah Technique.

I am seventy-six years old and have had arthritis for a number of years.
Mitzvah exercises have really had a bearing on my quality of life.
They have helped me to improve my body alignment which in turn
helps my posture and allows me to move more comfortably.
After going through cancer treatment with chemotherapy a few years ago,
I found that I had some problems with my balance.
I believe the Mitzvah process has aided in my overcoming this difficulty
by making me more aware of my body movements and muscle control.
Working with a knowledgeable Mitzvah instructor and being guided
by her instructions and hands on assistance has been a very valuable experience.
